I shot this picture near the San Diego port, on one beautiful sunset. Its actually an abstract tree placed near the ocean by the City of San Diego for improving the landscape. With the great color gradient of the sky in the background, the tree looked to me like a girl awaiting her sailor's arrival with hope at the port. This picture made it to the 1st page in

We bought this 9 buck chess board made of ground glass from Fry's elctronics last week. I was finding ways to photograph this and ended up using the color LEDs from the guts of sudhagar's home medic table-top fountain :). Increased exposure so that I could capture all the colors :). I know it looks kinda spooky , but it is unedited unphotoshoped ( no saturation enhancements , no curve adjustments ).

Shot near the San Diego Airport around sun set. This seagull posed really very patiently for the pictures :). The sun is behind the bird. Exposure was set metering the sky producing a nice Silhouette.

{Mist,Sodium vapors,SUV,Parking lot,EOS 300D,50mm f/1.8}=Red. It was hard to capture what exactly I saw,but I think its pretty close , thanks to my new f/1.8 normal lens, for enabling me to shoot in such low light. I know there is no great subject, but i like the scene as a whole,especially the colors.
