Cho and Rajini

The interviewer seems to be so obsessed with this 'cho-rajini-friendship'. http://in.rediff.com/election/2004/apr/28einter2.htm. Well, is the image of the politico-personal caucus that Rajini is building intentional or unintentional, or just plain media-speak?

EC and its quest for fairness

The present Election comission goes to great lengths to show that it is conducting a fair election.  They started with asking hoardings in the highways  that have  Vajpayee's photo  to be covered. Then they apparently asked for an increase in prices of petrol/diesel since the international crude prices have increased. And as per this article in rediff ( http://us.rediff.com/news/2004/apr/27capbuz.htm )  they ordered the Archaeological Survey of India to cover a lotus in a pond controlled by ASI since that could influence the voters! I hope the next step is not an order to cover the hands of all Govt. servants in Congress ruled states as it can 'influence' the voters.
