What can i do?

It is the year of the election in India and for the highest post in the country. As a registered card carrying voter, who is physically away from the country temporarily, how can i protect my vote? I was an eye witness of booth capturing and black market voting, where people from just outskirts of the region are paid, fed and transported to various voting booths to vote enmasse for A politcal candidate with armed men keeping the officials at bay! The policemen simply standby for the fear of loss of limb and their job.

What can i do and the many many other young indians away from India (who have a vote) to make their choice of candidate heard and prevent their vote from being hijacked by unscrupulous political candidates? 

Proxy voting for the men and women serving in the armed forces has been introduced in this election, can it be extended to us who are temporarily displaced?
